Job Summary
Senior Site Manager for luxury villa construction in Cape Town, overseeing on-site activities, ensuring compliance with local codes, safety, and environmental standards, and coordinating with Project Manager and Head of Construction to execute plans within time and budget. Responsible for quality control, site inspections, subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and cost monitoring. Requires 10+ years in SA construction roles, Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Architecture, postgraduate studies in Construction Management or related fields, proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and strong knowledge of local regulations. English proficiency is required for communication with international management teams and site staff. Relocation support is available (partial).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Post-graduate studies in Construction Management or related fields
- Minimum of 10 years in construction site roles (e.g. Inspector, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Site Supervisor, Assistant Project Manager, Construction Manager, Superintendent)
- Completed at least 3 full-cycle projects in South Africa, ideally in tourist regions
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and other relevant applications
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices
- Proficiency in English for communication with international management teams and some site teams
