Job Summary
Site Engineer role in Wellington focused on hands-on project delivery across full lifecycle from planning to completion. Responsibilities include supporting development of project methodologies, budgets, and construction programmes; assisting in managing contracts to meet client specifications with emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental compliance; building and maintaining relationships with client representatives; identifying contractual issues, variations, and compliance matters; providing coaching and on-the-job development opportunities; and working closely with site teams to keep projects on track.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent (BE or NZCE, business management or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Project or Site Engineer within the Construction industry
- Strong understanding of contract management and project delivery processes
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with clients and sub-contractors
- Understanding of financial and accounting processes
- Demonstrated ability to support a culture of safety, quality, and environmental excellence
