Job Summary
Coordinate freight movements and serve as the primary contact for customers and drivers from load assignment through final delivery. Monitor active shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries, while proactively identifying and resolving transportation and service-related issues. Build strong professional relationships with stakeholders and maintain accurate records of shipment status and delivery performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and ensure service excellence. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- at least one year of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, or a related field
- Strong communication skills across phone, email, and other electronic platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proven relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize transportation and dispatch management software
- Must be available for Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience
- Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs/eLogs)
- Experience in trucking, transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics operations
