Site Director (Full-Time)- Before & After Care

Job Summary

Plan and implement daily lesson plans for a before and after school site serving 20 to 99 students while supervising staff and ensuring participant safety. Execute activities inside and outside program areas, manage program space setup and cleanup, and maintain weekly lesson plans, calendars, and daily record keeping including rosters. Oversee staff schedules, assist in training group leaders, and conduct licensing inspections to adhere to state standards and DHS policies. Maintain positive relationships with school staff, parents, and the YMCA community while managing supplies, inventory, and meal times. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and occasional mobile coverage across the system.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in child development or related experience
  • Enrollment in Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) certificate to complete thirty hours of orientation training
  • Two years of college (30 hours in business or management, child or youth development, early childhood education or related field)
  • Two years of experience in a group setting
  • Four-year degree
  • One year of full-time (paid or unpaid) experience in a group setting
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • DHS Background Disclosure Form & Fingerprint appointment
  • Abuse Registry Check
  • DHS Physical health form
  • Proof of education
  • Past Employment reference
  • DHS TCCOTS 'Before you Begin' and 'Shaken Baby' training
  • Pre-service training
  • CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
