Job Summary
Direct station operations and ensure all security functions comply with TSA regulations, company protocols, and client standards. Represent the organization by interoperating with airport authority stakeholders, law enforcement, and clients to identify trends and assure contractual compliance. Monitor and guide subordinate supervisors, administer recruitment, staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations while maintaining compliant personnel records. Submit inspection and training findings within two business days, evaluate attendance deficiencies, and administer corrective measures. Conduct daily briefings, coordinate training with the Training and Compliance department, and oversee cost-effective station measures. Safeguard company equipment and vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. Requires five years of major installation experience, a Bachelor's degree in security, and ability to pass background checks and obtain a SIDA badge. Available for various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years relevant experience in a major installation or business
- Resides within commuting distance of the Denver International Airport
- Bachelor's degree in security or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Within the past five (5) years, must have successful experience managing a major security or screening operation
- Prefer 49 CFR Part 1542 regulated airport or other regulated government facilities or critical infrastructures where security guards were employed
- Working knowledge of the aviation security industry to successfully implement compliant and quality aviation security operations
- AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) or Certified Member (CM) Security Certification required within six months of hire
- Current certification at time of hire is preferable
- Ability to successfully pass background checks and drug tests as necessary
- Available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays depending on the airport's security needs
- Willing and able to participate in a drug test (either pre-employment or random) with negative results
- Must be willing to pass a 10-year verifiable background check (employment, education, criminal and personal references)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain SIDA badge as distributed by local airport authority and US Customs and Border Patrol
- Must be able to pass any initial and recurrent training classes as administered by the company, and/or local airport authority
- Valid State issued Driver's License with clean driving record
- English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking)
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer 49 CFR Part 1542 experience or 49 CFR Part 1544/1546 experience
- Current certification at time of hire is preferable
