Job Summary
Lead an after-school program as Site Director, guiding a team to deliver engaging activities (arts, STEAM, fitness, academics, and homework support) in a safe, organized environment. Responsibilities include ensuring state regulations and Healthy Kids policies are followed, planning and leading activities aligned with the curriculum, overseeing daily operations (attendance, registration, scheduling, staffing), and maintaining clear family communication via the Playground App. Must be 21+, hold an associate or bachelor-level credential in Early Childhood/Child Development (or related), and pass state background checks. Physical ability to engage with energetic children and collaborate with staff. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Option A (Credential/Associate Level): CDA (Child Development Associate) OR CCP (Child Care Professional) OR Montessori certification OR NAC OR Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with at least 2 years of experience in early childhood or school-age/out-of-school time setting
- Option B (Bachelor’s Level): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early childhood education OR Related field with at least 1 year of experience in early childhood or school-age care
- Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks
- Requires ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Positive professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliability and punctuality
