Job Summary
Create an inventory of school needs by collecting objective data and surveying students, families, and staff. Collaborate with administrators to plan school-wide, group-level, and individualized supports that address prioritized student needs. Case manage at-risk students based on attendance, behavior, and course performance while strengthening relationships with parents through meaningful engagement events. Partner with volunteers, nonprofits, and government agencies to bring vital community resources into the school. Collect, track, and report student and school data using the CIS web-based system, administering annual surveys and delivering quarterly progress reports. Research best practices from other sites and participate in required professional development and training. Serve as a well-informed ambassador for the CIS mission, seeking solutions and improvements while complying with agency policies. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Program Director and may involve off-hours support and local travel. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Experience in case management
- Experience in youth counseling
- Experience in oral and written communications
- Experience in advocacy and negotiating
- Experience in networking and team building
- Experience in information gathering and data collection
- Experienced leadership for on-site coordination of service providers, volunteers, parents, students and school staff
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of representatives from public and private service organizations, public education, neighborhood organizations, parent/guardian groups, and local government
- Knowledge of local human service networks and community resources
- Ability to manage details and work in team enviornment
