Job Summary
Observe and report performance, compliance, or staffing issues; manage patient flow, wait times, inventory, and information logs. Monitor monthly productivity reports for deviations, address customer service concerns promptly, and promote team cohesion. Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens and paternity tests, and enter patient data accurately. Process billing information, collect payments, and prepare specimens for testing. Travel to additional sites as needed and perform administrative duties. Work Monday through Friday with a 30-minute lunch break, with additional days and hours potentially required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 5 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
- 5 years or more leadership/ team lead experience
- 2 years or more pediatrics experience
- In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Must come from an accredited agency (for certification or training program)
