Job Summary
The Site Coordinator for the YMCA's Before and After School Program is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, and planning the curriculum in accordance with NH Child Care Licensing regulations. The role involves mentoring staff, fostering relationships with administrative personnel and parents, and organizing activities during vacation weeks and summer camps. Candidates should possess strong experience working with children, relevant educational qualifications, and a commitment to the YMCA's values.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 20 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree in elementary education or recreation
- A minimum of an associate’s degree in child development, education, recreation
- Certification of successful completion of training as a recreation director plus 1000 hours experience working with children
- A total of 12 credits in child development, education, recreation plus 1000 hours of experience
- Current certification as an educator by the department of education
- Experience working with children totaling 2000 hours and a current certification as a Para II educator by the department of education
- Documentation of enrollment in a course for at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation
- Within 12 months of the date the individual begins working as a Site Director, documentation of successful completion of a total of at least 6 credits as specified
