Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day financial operations for the Bolingbrook site, managing accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance for approximately 45 associates. Partner with the VP/GM to align financial strategy with business objectives, lead financial plans, and provide insights to drive profitable growth. Own the Intellectual Capital process, including recruiting, compensation planning, performance management, and annual reviews for the finance team. Manage the Staff Accountant and Accounting Clerk while leading external audit preparation and ensuring GAAP compliance. Oversee cost accounting functions, variance analysis, and ERP system enhancements to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Internal controls
- Financial reporting standards
- Proven experience in cost accounting
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Financial analysis
- Experience supporting a VP/GM or equivalent with P&L responsibility
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
