Job Summary
Oversee design tasks, prepare construction documents, and lead site plans, grading, drainage, and stormwater systems for commercial land development projects. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect erosion controls, and ensure design intent is met while managing schedules, budgets, and client expectations. Mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multiple disciplines, lead permitting efforts, and oversee construction administration and bidding processes. This role supports all phases of project delivery for private and public sector clients within NV5's infrastructure verticals.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of civil site design experience
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong knowledge of recreational parks, subdivisions, industrial, and commercial site design
- Understanding of zoning and development ordinances
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience with hydrology and hydraulics modeling software
- Familiarity with GIS software and Bentley StormCAD
- GSWCC Level II Design Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
