Site Captain – Wash & Maintenance

Job Summary
Lead the wash floor as Manager on Duty, overseeing daily operations, throughput, and quality standards while coaching technicians on performance and safety. Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, belts, and chemical systems, and handle light mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on-site. Coordinate escalations with the maintenance team for complex issues and maintain accurate logs of PM checks and shift performance. Enforce standard operating procedures and communicate proactively with management on operational needs. This hands-on leadership role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work extended periods standing or near moving equipment.
Required Qualifications
- A natural leader who can guide, coach, and inspire a team
- Solid grasp of wash operations, throughput, and quality standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on PM and light repair experience (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical)
- Know-how to recognize when to escalate bigger issues to the maintenance team
- Energetic, dependable, and driven by operational excellence
- High ownership mentality and a positive attitude
- Strong organizational, communication, and people skills
- Able to lift, carry, and move equipment and parts (up to 25 lbs)
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
- Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts and operating power tools
