Job Summary
Single Stock Volatility Trader – Analyst/Associate trades and market makes equity derivatives for single stocks across Asia, managing a portfolio of listed options, OTC derivatives, and structured notes. Collaborates with sales partners globally, analyzes portfolio dynamics and market conditions, hedges positions with stocks and options, and makes discretionary trading decisions. Supports business growth, contributes to risk management and desk strategy, maintains desk operations oversight, and communicates with clients across regions. Requires a STEM-based bachelor's degree, strong Excel quantitative skills, and experience in the financial industry; prior equity derivatives trading experience and familiarity with Asian markets are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or quantitative discipline
- Experience in equity derivatives trading
- Strong Excel skills for quantitative analysis
- Ability to make discretionary decisions and perform systematic trading
- Willingness to manage operations in detail and ensure accuracy
- Innovative problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of risk management practices
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (preferred)
