Simulator Technician III

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose simulator and aircraft system problems, and execute FAA Approval and Qualification Test Guide procedures. Conduct visual alignments, run evaluation tests, and perform software changes to correct issues. Assist engineering with modifications, design changes, and hardware refurbishments while utilizing the maintenance management system to track activities. Train other technicians in basic skills and support logistics duties including parts received, repair, and validation. Work in office, on-site, field, and laboratory environments to enhance technical expertise across advanced simulator systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years direct experience working on simulators
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with a wide range of test equipment
- Ability to support Engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite
