Job Summary
Simulator Technician II responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and operating military/aviation/training simulators; ensure simulators are in Fully Mission Capable condition; perform routine maintenance and calibration IAW schedules; troubleshoot with team, maintain documentation and spare parts, conduct safety checks, assist engineering in improving design, and set up/break down training equipment; provide user technical support and coordinate with other departments to ensure simulator availability; requires ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance; location Ft. Benning, GA; strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and teamwork are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- 3 - 6 years of experience in maintaining and operating simulators.
- Understanding of computer systems and software, including programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair them.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with other team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
