Job Summary
Design and implement cutting-edge simulation solutions for axial flux electric motors, focusing on multiphysics interactions and finite element methods. Optimize FEM-based tools for performance and accuracy while implementing comprehensive features for electromagnetics, thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics simulations. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to improve electric motor solutions. This role supports a young ETH startup developing advanced simulation software for e-mobility and electric drive systems.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science
- Knowledge of electromagnetics and electric motor behavior, AFM, Axial Flux, SMC, EM Simulation, Axial Flux Motor, Magnets, and Stator
- Strong FEM/multiphysics focus
- Team-player
- Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with tools such as OpenFOAM, SparseLizard, Kratos Multiphysics, FEniCS, FreeFEM, or Elmer FEM
- Experience in e-mobility or electric drive systems
