Simulation Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Supports and maintains the simulation technology used in the department and provides training and assistance to faculty, staff, and students in the use of the technology. Works with Information Technology to keep hardware and software up-to-date, collaborates on case development and rubrics for simulations and debriefs, manages simulation specialists and promotes their professional development, and participates in departmental research, professional development, and community outreach related to simulation in health professions education. Responsible for equipment maintenance in the Simulation center and Simulated Patient center, training faculty and students in the use of the B-Line Medical software, maintaining inventory and supplies, and ensuring confidentiality and professional conduct consistent with departmental values.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate-level degree or higher
- Three (3) years of experience with hi-fidelity simulation manikins for UME/GME programs using simulation as an educational tool
- CHSOS certified or CHSOS eligible within 2 years
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
