Job Summary
Oversee inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and repairs for all skills lab supplies and equipment while collaborating with the Director of Nursing Education on lab equipment planning and acquisition. Design, prepare, and implement all simulation experiences aligned with curriculum objectives, including training faculty to effectively deliver and facilitate simulation scenarios. Provide student tutoring, skills remediation, and practice sessions, maintaining accurate records of student grades, attendance, and professional conduct. Serve as Chair of the campus Simulation Committee and contribute to system-wide simulation initiatives, staying current on best practices in simulation and nursing education. This role supports the nursing department at Concorde, offering a tuition waiver after six months for you and your immediate family, along with a 50% retirement match and paid parental leave.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of CA
- Associate's degree in Nursing (RN)
- three (3) years of clinical experience
- Minimum one (1) year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Expertise in the area of assignment that demonstrates the skills needed to provide instruction
- Design and deliver engaging educational content, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Build rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment
- Flexibility to stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practices
- Competence in evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and interaction with students and colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in professional growth opportunities
- Able and willing to: Communicate, think, learn, and reason
- Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasks
- Safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations
