Job Summary

Create and validate high-fidelity 3D models using plant simulation software to analyze production capacity, optimize facility layouts, and improve material flows. Develop detailed process simulations to verify assembly sequences, validate ergonomics, and identify potential design for assembly issues before physical implementation. Conduct comprehensive simulation studies to evaluate manufacturing processes, including tool clash analysis and cable routing validation, while partnering with process engineering teams to validate new production processes and layout changes through virtual modeling. Perform scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support operational improvement initiatives and contingency planning, generating data-driven recommendations to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce implementation risks.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis
  • Experience writing and publishing technical documents or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
  • Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
  • 3+ years of working in simulation engineering or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Experience with simulation software in a manufacturing environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
  • Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
  • Experience with CAD modelling software, such as Solidworks or MATLAB
  • Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation or similar discrete event simulation software
  • Experience with Process Simulate or similar 3D manufacturing simulation tools
  • Knowledge of robotics manufacturing processes and automation systems
  • Experience with ergonomic analysis and safety validation
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, or similar)
  • Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with virtual commissioning or digital twin implementations
  • Track record of successful project delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
