Job Summary
Develop and refine physics-based system simulations for missile platforms, performing analysis to support software updates and weapon performance assessments. Analyze flight test data to verify model accuracy and generate briefings that communicate system effectiveness to integration teams. Collaborate with software and platform groups to ensure simulations reflect real-world missile system realities while conducting studies on operational effectiveness. This mid-level role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields, 5-12 years of experience, and active DoD secret clearance. Proficiency in MATLAB, C++, and Python is preferred, along with knowledge of Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems. The position supports weapon system integration efforts within SimTech's defense-oriented solutions division.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent from an accredited institution
- 5-12 years of related technical experience
- Experience with modeling and simulation (M&S)
- Ability to program in structured software languages
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret Security clearance
- ability to maintain the designated security clearance level
- Ability to analyze complex datasets
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly
- Familiarity with test processes
- Familiarity with VV&A standards
- Ability to work varying shifts and hours
- May move and test equipment of various weights
- Laboratory environment use of protective equipment (PPE)
