Simulation Engineer - Endurance Racing

Job Summary
Develop, validate and optimize high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models and simulations for endurance racing. Create and correlate simulations across toolchains, support DiL simulator sessions, and implement simulation workflow methodologies to maximize value. Conduct studies to optimize chassis and powertrain performance for individual races and across the season, and provide real-time analysis during mission-control style events. Collaborate with Software, Systems, and Trackside Engineering groups, maintain vehicle/track parameter databases, and build tools to improve simulation and analysis workflows. Requires strong programming skills (Python, C++, MATLAB/Simulink) and familiarity with McLaren Applied toolset; role expects some weekend work to support race weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant Engineering or Mathematics discipline essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven experience in a simulation role in high-level Motorsport
- Thorough understanding of how a car's systems interact to affect performance
- Previous exposure to track/race/simulator environment
- Programming in Python, C++, or MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with McLaren Applied toolset (advantageous)
