Job Summary
Coordinate daily operations of the nursing simulation laboratory by preparing rooms, equipment, supplies, and moulage for instructional sessions. Operate simulation technology and manikins during activities, reset spaces, and train students on lab procedures and safety. Maintain inventory of resources, coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting of technical systems, and manage standardized patient documentation. Partner with faculty to integrate simulation into curricula, assist with debriefing sessions, and recruit community volunteers. Develop scenarios, collect assessment data, and support continuous improvement of program processes while supervising student employees.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in technology, healthcare, or a related field
- Strong computer proficiency including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and database management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to learn new software, hardware, and simulation technologies independently
- Ability to supervise student employees and coordinate community volunteers
- CHSE or CHSOS certification obtained within one year of employment
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement
- Staff agreement to live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant
- Successful completion of a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field
- Previous experience working in a healthcare simulation laboratory or simulation-based education environment
- Experience supporting nursing education or healthcare training programs
- Familiarity with simulation technologies, standardized patient programs, and curriculum mapping software such as EXXAT
- Experience coordinating educational technology, instructional resources, or laboratory operations
