Simulation Coordinator for Nursing

Job Summary
Coordinate simulation and skills laboratory activities across the Prelicensure BSN curriculum by designing, implementing, and evaluating scenarios aligned with course outcomes and AACN Essentials. Collaborate with faculty to facilitate pre-briefing, experiences, and debriefing using evidence-based methodologies while restoring and maintaining facilities to a patient-ready condition after each session. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high-fidelity simulators and audiovisual systems; monitor supply inventories and coordinate purchasing recommendations. Maintain laboratory schedules, support student remediation and competency validation, and assist with policy development and quality improvement initiatives. Collect utilization data and assessment information to support accreditation and compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential or eligibility (upon hire)
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience
- Two years' experience in simulation-based education, nursing skills instruction, clinical instruction, or healthcare education
- Experience working with diverse populations
- A belief in the deity of and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith, as interpreted through the historic witness of Scripture and the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit
- The practice of following Christ through day-to-day personal lifestyle choices
- A vitality of Christian experience maturing in insight and application and appreciative of differing viewpoints

Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field
- College teaching or clinical instruction experience
- Knowledge of AACN (2021 and 2026) Essentials
- Knowledge of INACSL Standards of Best Practice
- Knowledge of CCNE accreditation standards
- Knowledge of Oregon State Board of Nursing regulations
