Job Summary
Freelance contract-based Game Localization QA Tester with native Taiwan-Traditional Chinese language proficiency to ensure linguistic quality across localized game content. Responsibilities include identifying localization/linguistic issues, writing detailed bug reports, performing regression testing, following test cases/checklists, applying knowledge of target market preferences to influence product, and collaborating with partner teams to improve gameplay, balance, and overall localization quality.
Required Qualifications
- Near or Native level of Taiwan-Traditional Chinese (testing language)
- Excellent spelling and grammar in Taiwan-Traditional Chinese
- Good command of Simplified Chinese (instructions, testing documentation, team communications in English)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Mantis, ADO, Bugzilla) or CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) is a plus
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take constructive feedback
- Familiarity with software localization or quality assurance in video games is advantageous
