Job Summary
Conduct assisted-ride services providing door-to-door transportation for seniors, people with disabilities, and others requiring support. Assist clients with mobility challenges during trips to destinations such as doctors, grocery stores, or senior centers, ensuring safe physical transfers and companionship. Maintain a clean, compliant 4-door sedan or low SUV meeting specific vehicle standards, and adhere to strict safety protocols including drug/alcohol testing, fingerprinting, and criminal background checks. Operate within a small, family-style office environment dedicated to personalized service and client peace of mind.
Required Qualifications
- Age 21 or older
- A valid U.S. driver's license for a MINIMUM of 3 years with a clean driving record
- No DUI/DWI
- No more than 2 moving violation in the past 2 years
- Pass Federal Transit Authority and state drug and alcohol tests
- Agree to random testing while active in SilverRide's driver network
- Willingness to be fingerprinted and pass a criminal background check
- No felonies or charges involving violence
- Not on the National Sex Offender Registry
- Meet SilverRide's credentialing requirements related to the knowledge and proficiency on the senior condition, ADA, physical transfers, safety and more
- Willingness to take passengers with service animals
- 4-door sedan or low SUV that is 2015 or newer with 5 to 8 passenger seats including driver
- Current, valid vehicle registration
- Proof of insurance in your name
- Vehicle will have to pass an inspection as required by your state
- Vehicles need to be clean and not have any smell of smoke or drugs (marijuana)
