Job Summary
Silicon Emulation Engineer on Waymo Compute Team responsible for simulating future silicon designs and software on an emulation platform, designing and optimizing emulation testbenches, writing end-to-end synthesizable transactors to interact with emulated designs via software APIs and C-DPI, triaging and root-causing failures, assisting with post-silicon bring-up and characterization, and building tooling and infrastructure for model build, regression, automation, CI, data analysis, and training. Requires a BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 5 years of silicon development experience; preferred experience with AXI/AMBA, PCIe, DRAM, Ethernet, JTAG, DFT, UART, SPI, GPIO, UVM, post-silicon debug tools, bare metal programming, Linux internals, and related domains. The role is hybrid with the Mountain View, CA location.”,
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5 years of silicon development experience
- Experience with at least one major hardware emulation platform (Palladium, Zebu, Veloce, Protium, HAPS)
- Proficiency with SystemVerilog and design verification methodologies
- Programming and scripting (C++, Python, or TCL) for automation, test development, debug flows, and release process
- Strong debug and problem-solving ability across hardware and software
