Job Summary

Identify signals of interest in foreign satellite communications and demonstrate senior-level signals analysis experience in NSA production offices or relevant SIGINT agencies. Apply signal theory and modulation techniques to decode transmission at the physical layer, utilizing knowledge of OSI models, standard protocols, and telecommunications technologies. Complete recommended NSA courses in analytical reporting and advanced communications signals analysis, or equivalent curriculum, while maintaining Active TS/SCI clearance and a CI Poly. This role supports a National Security customer in Colorado Springs with a salary of $125,000, including a $2,000 sign-on bonus or reimbursable relocation.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI
  • Ability to get and maintain a CI Poly
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience
  • Identify signals of interest in foreign satellite communications
  • Demonstrate relevant, senior-level, or higher SA experience in NSA production offices, service cryptological production elements, and/or other relevant SIGINT production agencies
  • Understand signal theory (power, frequency, modulation, phase, polarity, propagation), modulation techniques (AM, FM, BPSK, FSK, QPSK, PSK, QAM, PCM), multiple access strategies (FDMA, TDMA, CDMA, DAMA), encoding/decoding transmission (physical layer), be familiar with signal technologies and standards (DVB-S2, iDirect, HughesNET, ComTech), linear recursive sequences, convolutional coding, protocol stacks, etc.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the OSI model, standard protocols (TCP, UDP), IP subnetting, telecommunications technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 networks, and Classless Interdomain Routing (CIDR)
  • Complete recommended NSA Courses NETA2402/NETA2108 (Analysis II) & any of the following: RPTG2238, RPTG2235, RPTG3225, RPTG3222 (Basic Analytical Reporting) or equivalent curriculum SIGC2401 (Introductory TDMA) and/or SIGC3200 (Advanced VSAT Analysis) or equivalent curriculum; Military Cryptologic Continuing Education Program (MCCEP) Phase 1 and 451 (Intermediate Communications Signals Analysis Course) or 452 (Advanced Communications Signals Analysis Course) or governmental or commercial
