Job Summary
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and refine signal processing algorithms for Electro-Optical/Infrared or Radio Frequency systems. Support the design, development, and utilization of high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments. Analyze trade-study data to provide actionable insights on missile system design and performance, then present findings to internal stakeholders. Work within a team environment to determine approaches and solutions while contributing to the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of algorithms. This role supports the Processing, Guidance & Control Center's delivery of key technologies for effector programs, focusing on acquiring, detecting, tracking, and classifying objects of interest from active and passive sensors.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior or Senior standing level by the start of Summer 2027
- Completed or currently be taking at least one class in Signal Processing / Image Processing (e.g., Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Signal Processing, Signal Analysis, Image Processing, Digital Image Processing, Image Analysis, Digital Systems, or equivalent)
- Experience programming in C++
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Professional internships or academic research that provides experience applying signal processing techniques to EO or RF data, and working with EO or RF environment models
- Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations
- Experience with hardware/software integration
- Effective communication and organization skills
- Knowledge of data analysis, modeling and simulation, statistics, and various computational techniques for complex multi-variable problems
