Job Summary
Lab Engineer focused on Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI) characterization and EMC/EMC measurement techniques for Micron components across wafer, package, and board levels. Responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, providing feedback to simulation/design teams, guiding EMC procedures, developing measurement platforms, and communicating technical insights to application engineers and customers. Proficiency with spectrum/network analyzers, TDR, near-field probes, RF probes, TEM/GTEM, anechoic chambers, and familiarity with EM simulation and circuit tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, HSPICE) are expected. Strong collaboration with global Quality teams and ability to instruct customers on EMC techniques are part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- BS in EE or similar field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong background in signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, RF engineering, antenna design, or related electromagnetics
- Experience with measurements utilizing spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR), near field probes, RF wafer probes, TEM/GTEM cells, and anechoic chambers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Python or Matlab scripting for instrument control and post-processing
- Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, CST, Clarity) and circuit simulators (ADS, HSPICE)
- Mechanical design, assembly, and maintenance skills
- Strong communication skills for instructing customers and engineers
- Experience with AI tools for rapid script development (preferred)
