Job Summary
Licensed behavioral health therapists provide group, individual, and family therapy, conduct psychosocial assessments, and develop/discharge treatment plans for patients and families. Responsibilities include evaluating patient data to determine needs, preparing and updating treatment plans with an interdisciplinary team, completing progress notes and discharge planning (including housing/residential needs when applicable), ensuring compliance with plan requirements, and documenting treatment in medical records. The role involves crisis intervention, coordinating with psychiatrists and family members, ensuring timely discharge plans (within 24 hours to the next provider), and maintaining professional boundaries. Requires current Nevada clinical licensure (LCSW/LCPC/LMFT or equivalent), BLS CPR training, CPI training, and inpatient clinical experience; strong written and verbal communication, organization, and documentation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaborate with diverse teams.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nevada clinical license (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, etc.) required
- BLS (CPR) certification for all direct patient care staff, renewed every 2 years
- CPI training for all staff, retrained annually
- One (1) year of inpatient clinical work with experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
