Job Summary
Support the Emergency Department in patient care tasks, patient interactions, supply stocking, and patient transportation. Assist with procedures while utilizing clinical knowledge to address patient needs. Daily duties include answering call lights, working with peers, and maintaining effective verbal and written communication. Evaluate the criticality of patient needs and demonstrate superior customer relations skills. Maintain BCLS certification and EMT licensure. This Level II Trauma Center, Regional Referral Center, Certified Stroke Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center provides care for northern Michigan across 43 beds.
Required Qualifications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess the ability to evaluate the criticality of patient needs
- Must possess superior customer relation skills
- Maintains BCLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one-year emergency/urgent care experience or college education equivalent preferred
- EMT licensure preferred
