Job Summary
Educational Sign Language Interpreter providing interpretation/transliteration for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and Deaf/Blind students in general education settings; collaborate with IEP/504 teams to support students' academic, social, and cognitive growth; follow NAD-RID/EIPA Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct; maintain confidentiality of IEP/504 information; provide interpretation across classroom activities, tests, assemblies, field trips, and other school events; maintain professional appearance and seek ongoing professional development; position term is 182 days; requires certification and adherence to district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Complete requirements for Educational Interpreters as outlined by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
- Certification must be maintained and kept current by the interpreter.
- Adhere to NAD-RID/EIPA Interpreter’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
