Job Summary
Provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local licensure and certification requirements. Demonstrate effective communication between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English, ensuring adherence to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and the RID Code of Professional Conduct. Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate the demands of the interpreting industry. Enhance interpreting skills through continued education and support team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in ASL
- Ability to pass required skills assessment
- High school diploma or GED
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and tools
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Interpreter certification (as required by local regulations)
- 3 years’ experience working as an interpreter
