Job Summary
Provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting services as part of Video Relay Service. Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include accurately completing assigned tasks and demonstrating a willingness to enhance interpreting skills through ongoing education. Must possess the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, highly regulated environment and maintain a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass required skills assessment
- High school diploma or GED
- Interpreter certification as required by local regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 3 years experience working as an interpreter (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
- Compliance with Sorenson standards and policies, FCC regulations and the RID Code of Professional Conduct
