Job Summary
Provide personal care assistance including dressing, grooming, and meal preparation for clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Accompany individuals on errands, appointments, and community integration activities while engaging them in favorite hobbies. Work one-on-one in home settings within the Bywood/Upper Darby area, specifically supporting a female client at 19082. Maintain fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and possess high school diploma or equivalent. Schedule includes Thursdays 10am-3pm with potential for additional hours across Philadelphia. Competitive pay starts at $18/hour with weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and access to health insurance, PTO, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Ability to transport clients to community activities
- Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)
- Must be available for Thursdays 10am-3pm
- Must be available for additional hours with other clients around Philadelphia (mornings, afternoons, and nights)
- Must be located in or able to commute to Bywood / Upper Darby, PA at the 19082 zip code
- Must be able to work with a female client

- Training available through our apprentice program (for those without IDD experience)
