Sign Builder / Sign Production Associate

Job Summary
Read and interpret drawings, layouts, specifications, and work orders to fabricate and assemble various signage types. Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and finish components using hand and power tools, including panel saws, CNC routers, and welding equipment as required. Apply vinyl graphics and inspect completed work against quality standards to ensure dimensions and construction meet project specifications. Identify production issues and resolve them with supervisors while managing assigned work to support schedules and customer deadlines. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area by following OSHA requirements and established safety procedures.

- Ability to fabricate and assemble various types of signage according to project specifications and quality standards
- Ability to measure, cut, drill, fasten, assemble, and finish sign components and materials
- Ability to work with materials including aluminum, steel, acrylic, vinyl, and other sign substrates
- Ability to safely operate production equipment such as panel saws, drills, drill presses, impact drivers, vinyl cutters, laminators, CNC/routing equipment, and other shop machinery
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform MIG/TIG welding when required and when properly trained/qualified
- Ability to inspect completed work to ensure dimensions, appearance, construction, and quality meet specifications
- Ability to identify production or quality issues and work with supervisors and team members to resolve them
- Ability to manage assigned work efficiently to support production schedules and customer deadlines
- Ability to communicate production delays, material concerns, safety issues, or quality problems promptly
- Ability to maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Ability to support other production departments and work centers as business needs require
- Ability to follow established production processes, OSHA requirements, and Apex safety procedures
- Ability to stand and work on their feet for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, climb, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to safely lift and move materials and finished products within established company lifting requirements
- Ability to work around machinery, tools, fabrication equipment, noise, and varying shop conditions
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to operate only equipment for which they have been trained and authorized
- Ability to immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, injuries, or potential hazards
- Ability to stop and seek guidance whenever a task cannot be completed safely
