Job Summary
Facilitate developmentally appropriate individual and group sessions for students addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and behavioral challenges. Provide case management, conduct parent meetings, and deliver school-based therapy while serving on crisis teams and supporting truancy interventions. Lead trainings for faculty on mental health, SEL, and violence prevention, and establish community partnerships with social services and court agencies. Collect student data, complete program reporting, and maintain working relationships with school administration and the MNPS Office of English Learners.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or social work
- Bilingual
- Three or more years of related experience
- Knowledge in education and counseling services, including drug, alcohol, and violence prevention
- Knowledge and experience of social service referral sources in the community
- Leadership ability and team building skills
- Good human relation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop conceptual alternatives
- Ability to implement and incorporate existing protocol, practices and policies into the work environment
- Ability to organize, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the business
