Job Summary
Conduct the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses while performing vehicle inspections, maintaining interior cleanliness, fueling, and logging trip counts. Assist disabled passengers, answer customer questions, and report accidents, safety hazards, or policy violations to the Facility Manager. Communicate debris, water, or oil spills to the garage office and substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized. Maintain a neat uniform, possess a valid state driver's license with an acceptable DMV record, and know all garage areas, local streets, landmarks, and freeways. Occasionally assist customers with luggage and operate shuttles at airport locations if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty
- Acceptable DMV record
- Availability to work 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Neat and clean appearance
- Complete uniform at all times
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
