Job Summary
Conduct shuttle pre-trip inspections, complete passenger count logs, and accurately report deficiencies while maintaining a clean and orderly bus. Greet each customer with a smile, assist with luggage loading and unloading, and answer inquiries about rates, services, and promotions. Demonstrate knowledge of airport roads, terminals, and ADA passenger etiquette to ensure expeditious drop-off and pick-up. Implement defensive driving techniques, cooperate with team members and dispatchers, and report operational issues or incidents to the supervisor on duty. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while performing occasional valet, bus washing, and facility cleanliness duties. Must be available to work all shifts, including holidays.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or five years of shuttle driving experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, federal, state, and local transportation regulations as well as reports and procedures
- Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently (DOT Requirement)
- Ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply
- Ability to write statements/reports
- Knowledge of all working functions of a shuttle bus
- Knowledge of ADA lifts
- Knowledge of wheelchair securement
- Knowledge of GPS
- Knowledge of video/audio camera
- Knowledge of proper stowage
- Knowledge of securement of luggage
- Proper greeting of customers
- Proper etiquette with ADA passenger
- Proper handling of upset customers
- Promoting the company APP, benefits, and programs
- Must be willing to pass a physical as part of the selection process as required by airport, federal DOT and/or state regulations
- Must possess the appropriate license, endorsements and or medical certification to operate a shuttle bus
- Have a good driving record
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills

- Must be able to answer inquiries about all rates services and promotions
- Must be able to utilize etiquette and professionalism during interactions with customer and in the work-place
- Must be able to implement and recognize defensive/safe driving techniques
- Must be able to assist ADA passengers
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other drivers and dispatchers/supervisors to ensure effective fleet operations
- Must be able to comply with federal, state and local agency regulations in regard to the transport of passengers to/from the airport
- Must be able to maintain clean and orderly shuttle bus
- Must be able to report any operational issues with customers, airport conditions, road & traffic problem
- Must be able to conduct shuttle pre-trip inspection
- Must be able to properly complete the pre-trip inspection form
