Job Summary
Dependable Shuttle Driver based in the Richmond, VA distribution network, responsible for safely shuttling trailers and products between warehouses, yards, and customer locations. Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections, manage bills of lading, secure loads, and maintain accurate logs in compliance with all DOT and company safety policies. Collaborate closely with dispatch and warehouse teams to support a culture of teamwork, high performance, and responsive customer service. Strong emphasis on safety, log integrity, and efficient transportation operations within a food & beverage logistics context.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- Ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections
- Experience with bills of lading
- Load securement and safe handling of cargo
- Maintaining logs accurately (logbook or electronic logs)
- Strong communication with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Knowledge of safety policies and DOT regulations
- Ability to operate shuttle/trailer equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Team-oriented and customer service oriented
- Ability to follow DOT and company safety policies
