Job Summary
Transport loads between designated warehouse and delivery locations in a safe and timely manner while following routes and delivery schedules. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting safety concerns promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams regarding routes, delays, or issues while adhering to all federal, state, and local laws. Report to work daily on a rotating Monday through Friday schedule with a 6:00 AM start time, with optional Saturday overtime available. Work primarily within south-central Maine on consistent routes keeping you close to home.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (required)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (required)
- Reliability; able to report to work on time daily and work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Previous CDL-A driving experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of incident-free commercial driving experience (preferred)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow routes, directions and schedules
