Job Summary
Transport items between stores in a safe, timely manner by loading, reviewing orders for completeness and charges, and delivering packages using route navigation apps. Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules while abiding by transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, complete daily maintenance checks, and prepare delivery reports. Secure and transfer cash or other assets as needed. Work flexible shifts with the ability to work overtime as required. Maintain a valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid driver's license
- Must be able to meet company insurance requirements- (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged sitting
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
- Securing and transferring cash or other assets
- Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for purposes of navigation/ route optimization
- Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of team
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
