Job Summary
Operate a passenger shuttle bus safely and efficiently on scheduled routes and charters; assist passengers with boarding, load/unload luggage, and provide information on local lodging/attractions. Maintain vehicle safety through pre-trip inspections, safety procedures, and clear communications via two-way radio; monitor traffic/weather, report incidents, ensure cleanliness and fueling, and complete daily trip sheets. Requires at least 21 years old, 5 years of driving experience, CDL with passenger endorsement and airbrakes, DOT medical/drug screen, favorable MVR, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Minimum 5 years driving experience
- Current valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and Airbrakes endorsements
- Ability to pass DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
- MVR with no recent moving violations (past 1 year) and no more than two in past 3 years; able to meet federal/state driving standards
- No DWI/DUI or drug abuse convictions; no suspension or revocation within past 5 years
- Clear communication skills (telephone, two-way radio, in-person)
- Ability to read and write simple correspondence and present information to customers and colleagues
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to assist wheelchair passengers and secure wheelchair using a 4-point system
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Ability to maintain uniform and professional appearance
- Experience with maintaining trip sheets and reporting Mileage and vehicle condition
- Must pass background check and DMV certifications as required
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
