Job Summary
Escort incoming hotel guests to their rooms, deliver luggage, and inspect guest rooms for supplies. Explain room features, provide local attraction information, and page guests throughout the property. Maintain the courtesy van by washing, cleaning, and fueling it, while raising and lowering flags and keeping the lobby tidy. Deliver messages, packages, and room service orders; call taxis for guests; and transport them around the property. Shovel snow, melt ice, and hose off sidewalks at the front port cochere. Report to work for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in uniform. Comply with all company policies and attend monthly front desk meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED
- Current Driver's License
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deliver results
- Capacity to work well with and motivate a variety of personality types while maintaining tact and diplomacy
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills
- Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally; up to 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently; and 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Requires significant walking or standing
- Scheduling may vary due to the nature of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays
