Job Summary
Conduct vehicle inspections, maintain bus cleanliness, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers. Be present at work every scheduled day in uniform, carrying a valid driver's license at all times. Courteously answer customer questions, direct them to the Facility Manager for further assistance, and report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences. Communicate debris, water, and oil spills to the garage office and substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways, and assist customers with luggage.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Acceptable DMV record
- DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate)
- Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Neat and clean appearance
- Complete uniform
