Job Summary
Shuttle Bus Driver position for Coweta Public Schools involves operating a school bus on assigned routes with daily pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading students, and adherence to safety procedures. Requires CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement, a valid School Bus Driving certificate, CPR and First Aid certification, a good driving record, and experience working with children. Responsibilities include operating the bus on designated routes, using the two-way radio, following a 15-step safety protocol, reporting maintenance, and maintaining a clean, orderly vehicle. Contract position with 1–3 hours per day during the school year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement
- State Department of Education Bus Driving certificate
- CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- Good driving record
- Periodic drug testing
- Annual physical
- Experience working with children
- Ability to perform daily pre-trip inspection
- Knowledge of bus safety procedures and state driving regulations
