Job Summary
Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA regulations; perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain required records, and ensure safety and security of equipment and cargo; may dock-load/unload; may use in-cab technology and drive on varied schedules; adhere to safety, DOT, and hazmat requirements, and complete drug screening/background checks as part of standard employment processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older per FMCSA regulations
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Reside within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center/work assignment
- Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
- Must be able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements
- Stable employment history preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift (minimum 7,500 lb. vehicle)
- Must be able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck (min 70 lbs)
- Physical ability to perform tasks (standing, lifting, twisting, climbing, etc.)
- Must provide acceptable MVR
- Familiar with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules
- Must pass FMCSA medical exam
- Must pass road test
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must lift approximately 70 lbs or more as required
- Must be able to drive all routes and terrains described
- Must be able to operate safety and operational functions of equipment
- Must comply with company policies and safety procedures
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
