Job Summary
Assist residents with boarding and alighting using lifts, ambulation, or physical transfers as needed. Complete daily bus trip logs, route inspection forms, and interior/exterior cleanliness checks before and after each trip. Coordinate route priorities to maintain efficient service while adhering to a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain a positive attitude and provide compassionate care to the senior population. This part-time role supports Independence Village's mission to connect seniors, families, and communities across the Midwest through safe, reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years driving a shuttle, bus, or similar vehicle
- Chauffeur's License
- clean driving record
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours
- Ability to be timely, patient, and accommodating
- ability to maintain a bus schedule
- familiar with the local area
- Must maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity
