Job Summary
Transport guests to and from the hotel, hospital, casino, and local area using safe driving practices. Assist guests with luggage delivery and pickup during arrival and departure while maintaining vehicle activity and maintenance logs. Shuttles approved guests to destinations, inspects the vehicle before each shift, and checks wheelchair safety prior to use. Greets guests within 30 seconds, communicates professionally via phone and radio, and protects guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Operates a vehicle seating fifteen or less, adhering to a schedule of open availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen and other requirements set forth by the client
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times
- Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park as applicable
- Must possess current Medical Examiners Certificate
- Must maintain an up to date license as well as DOT endorsements and a bi-annual physical exam as applicable
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Must be able to learn and remember pick-up and destination points
- Must be able to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with all guests, location staff and co-workers
- Must maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure
- Must be able to operate a vehicle that seats fifteen people or less, including driver
- Must be able to assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle
- Must be able to check wheelchairs for safe operation prior to each use and must clean wheelchairs after each use
- Must be able to protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA requirements
- Must be able to maintain the security of client financial and identifying information
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
