Job Summary
Shunt trailers between the yard and ferry terminals, moving trailers between parks, loading bays, transit areas, and the wash facility while positioning them correctly for warehouse and transport operations. Complete pre-use checks on shunt vehicles and trailers, identifying and reporting defects promptly to ensure equipment safety and compliance. Follow all site safety procedures, policies, and operational guidelines to support the smooth flow of trailers across the depot and harbour. Work a rotating butterfly shift pattern (18:30–06:30) in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with warehouse and transport teams to maintain efficient trailer movement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid full UK driving licence
- Aged 21 or over
- Valid shunting licence
- Comfortable working night shifts
- Flexibility when it comes to overtime and changing operational requirements
- Reliable

- Ability to stay calm and composed in a busy, fast-paced environment
